How to Combat Pattern Baldness with Natural Remedies

Ladies and gents, for some of you, hair is your pride and joy.

Understandably it can be very demoralising to notice a thinning scalp, and you start to ask yourself questions.

This is where Pattern Baldness (Androgenic Alopecia) enters the picture.

A condition similar in both men and women, this involves hair loss in a different slightly different pattern between genders.

Here’s an overview of the condition and the solutions available…

What is Pattern Baldness?

This condition occurs when there is a slowing effect on your hair growth cycle

When your hair follicles shrink, it takes longer for new hair to kickstart growth and therefore leads to your hair being thinner and finer than usual.

The result – easy breakages in your scalp condition.

With that being said, it’s normal for us to lose anywhere between 50 to 100 hairs per day as part of a healthy hair growth cycle. With pattern baldness, this condition can lead to significantly more hairs being lost on a daily basis.

In general, some hair loss is normal, with up to 66% of all women experiencing this post-menopause and less than half of women over 65 still possess a full head of hair.

Male Pattern Baldness is a common type of hair loss in men, with an estimated half of all men over the age of 50 experiencing this condition.

The most popular cause of this condition is heredity-related. If someone in your family has experienced similar effects in the past, the likelihood of you replicating this experience is a lot higher.

What are the early signs of Pattern Baldness?

The early signs of this condition are clear – with hair growth starting to slow, it’ll take longer for new hair to grow in its place, leaving noticeable balding patterns.

When comparing between men and women, males tend to lose their hair from the front of their heads, with females losing hair all over their scalp.

With that being said, it is very rare for females to go completely bald, with the likelihood is that your hair will be thinning considerably.

Are there different types of Pattern Baldness?

This condition can be classified in 3 different stages:

1) Type I – a small amount of thinning hair which typically starts around the parting

2) Type II – this involves the widening of the parting and increasing thinning of the hair

3) Type III – involves thinning all over, with a see-through area appearing at the top of your scalp
