About Herbal Hair

Herbal Hair brings traditional Chinese herbal hair care to the UK. We offer a range of tonics, shampoo and supplements built on the ZhangGuang 101 formulations, developed over more than 40 years, for people dealing with thinning, shedding, and hair that has lost its strength.

What We Believe

Healthy hair starts at the scalp. It’s a simple idea, but it sits at the heart of everything we do, and it’s where our approach differs from most of the hair care aisle. Where many products focus on conditioning the strand, traditional Chinese medicine treats the scalp and follicles as the foundation, because that’s where hair is actually made.

We also believe in being honest about what hair care can and can’t do. Hair grows roughly a centimetre a month, and any routine takes months to show results. We’d rather tell you that upfront than promise an overnight fix.

The Chinese Herbal Approach

Traditional Chinese medicine has used herbal preparations for hair and scalp health for centuries. Rather than relying on a single active ingredient, the approach uses blends of botanicals chosen to work together, nourishing the scalp and supporting the follicles through the natural growth cycle.
